Star Wars fans now have more to look forward to than just the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi next month. On November 9th, CEO of Disney Bob Iger revealed that there are plans for a Star Wars live-action television series as well as another trilogy following Star Wars: Episode 9.

This TV series is planned to be a part of the recently announced Disney streaming service. Disney has plans to pull their material from Netflix in 2019 to start their own service.

Iger revealed that The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson is set to help create the new film trilogy and it will be separate from the Skywalker era.

So far here’s the upcoming schedule (so far) for the Star Wars universe:

December 15, 2017 - Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi

May 25, 2018 - Star Wars: Han Solo

May 24, 2019 - Star Wars: Episode IX

TBA - Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi

TBA - Star Wars: Boba Fett

Disney is definitely meeting the audience demand for Star Wars material. I thought The Force Awakens was entertaining and Rogue One was great, so I’m looking forward to December 15th!
